COMMUNITY FUNDRAISER FAQ
What are the available days & times to have an event?
Saturday mornings only and are held 6 am to 10 am.
What exactly is served at the breakfast?
(3) Pancakes, (1) sausage patty, syrup, butter and a beverage (coffee, soda, tea, orange juice or milk.) There are no substitutions or additions to this breakfast menu. Pancakes are all-you-can-eat or until we run out. Beverages are free refills.
How many volunteers do we need to help host the event?
Your organization is responsible for volunteers as greeters, seaters, servers & bussers. Grandma's Country Kitchen provides the kitchen staff. 15-25 volunteers are needed depending on the amount of people you anticipate attending your event.
How many tickets can my organization sell?
There is no minimum for the mount of tickets that can be sold.
When should we start selling tickets?
In order for a successful event, ample selling and advertising time is required. Organizations should plan at least 3-4 weeks to sell tickets and distribute flyers.
Can I change the price on the tickets?
No. Tickets are at a set price of $10.00 and is for all ages, including children. Everyone eating breakfast needs a ticket including volunteers.
What if I need to cancel my event or change the date of the event?
You are allowed up until 1 full week from the event date to change your event date. You must contact your Grandma's representative to confirm the date change and to approve a new date for your event.
What time should we arrive on our fundraiser event day?
Please plan on arriving 30 minutes early prior to your event start time. The Manager On Duty will give you and your volunteers a quick tour of the restaurant and explain a few pointers for hosting, seating & serving your guests.
How do I provide Grandma's Country Kitchen with their portion of the redeemed ticket?
The Wednesday prior to your event you will bring in your ticket stubs for an official tally. At that time the payment is due. It can be paid via check, cashier's check, money order or cash.
Can I have multiple events?
Yes, 1 every 4 months and depending on calendar availability
Is there an age limit for volunteers?
All volunteers must be at least 16 years of age or older, for safety reasons. However, if you do have volunteers under 16, they can be Greeters and Seaters but under no circumstances can they enter the kitchen. They will need a parent/guardian to sign a liability waiver on their behalf.
I do not have all of the information for the W-9. What do I do?
Please fill it out with as much information as you have & give to the Grandma's Country Kitchen Manager on the day of your event.
Do I have to have a signed Liability Waiver for all of my volunteers?
Yes. Please give all signed waivers to the Grandma's Country Kitchen Manager on the day of your event.
